The writer must keep in mind before writing for the first time. Online and Print Writing difference is important to be understood by writers for a better transition between two mediums.

Online writing is more informal, relaxed and fast as compared to print. Simple and easy words are used in online writing. Because it may not be for a specific area but for the common users. People tend to move towards a simple and informal genre. Figurative language and jokes cannot be translated well so it can be difficult for a layman to read and understand.

The sourcing for print publications must be very authentic. Neglecting to the source is often acceptable for a blogger or general article writer. If an online writer is not a subject matter, he can use his experience to write.

It is easy to add a hyperlink and source anything you say while writing online without actually fact-check the information. But, it is not an option for print publications so they have to add researched, authentic source for anything they write.

Online writing is an easier task to do as compared to writing for print media. So, print writers are paid more than online ones. They can actually manage to do more than one task at the same time print writers manage to do only one. This saved time helps online writers earn more money, even more than print writers.

7. Composition
